An exciting press release came out yesterday in The Hunts Post, a local paper, all about the exhibition AND it includes a competition for you to win a free family photo shoot with...me!

I'm sure you can imagine, I'm getting a little excited for the exhibition now; all 66 photographs are named and framed so I just have to sit and wait for the 28th to arrive so I can go in the museum and hang all the frames.

The private view is in the evening of the 28th and I am pleased to tell you that Dave 'Boy' Green MBE will be in attendance; it is encouraging to know that not all recognised people think of themselves in a separate world to the rest of us! And although they are unable to attend, I have had emails of support from Rula Lenska and Terry Jones to date. Hopefully a couple more of those featured in the collection will be able to make the evening.

The name for my exhibition has now been confirmed...

Through The Lens; St Neots & Beyond

Quite apt, as there will be St Neots photography, my Recognised People Collection and Arty & Abstract.

The official image has now also been sent across to Sara at the museum so keep an eye out for it on their event leaflets! It can also be seen below...

No more to report at the minute other than poster artwork is currently being completed and they will start popping up around town in February - if you have anywhere you could display a poster for me, or know someone else who could display one, please let me know and I will get them to you once they have been produced; any help will be greatly appreciated.

So it's been a while since my last post on my exhibition, but to be honest, there has been nothing to post about!


Nearly there on the name now...something along the lines of 'Through My Eyes; St. Neots And Beyond' captures all areas, don't you think?

Also got the photograph of Rula Lenska now too, so I will be working on the image that will go in all the leaflets the museum will be distributing and what's on programmes in the next couple of weeks. I will release that on here once the lovely Sara at the museum has it.

Then it will be poster and invite design time! Again, they will be released on here but I am planning on getting enough printed so that you won't be able to walk round St. Neots without seeing one! (if you know of anyone who would be happy to display a poster for me then please let me know and I will get a copy to you/them).

I (with the help of Dad!) have been and measured the room so we know how many photographs I can fit on the walls, how many frames I need in what size and what will be going where. What will you see first when you walk in the room and all of the logistics...sounds easy doesn't it?!  Just a few more photographs to take and all will be ready - I hope!

After a long wait, the dates for my exhibition have finally been confirmed!

29th February - 30th March 2012 at the St Neots Museum

This blog will be used to keep you all up to date with progress and any news to look out for - and a chance for you to comment and ask any questions etc.

So far, all I can tell you is the dates and that the work in there will be my growing collection of Recognised People and some St Neots photography that won't be released until the exhibition. All of the prints will also be for sale.

I don't have an official name for it yet either...suggestions welcome! It will be confirmed, along with an image, by November as the Museum need it by then to start preparing for their 'What's on' leaflets and press releases etc.
